Why join your BBB in Central California?

Here are some key benefits:

Accreditation Decal & Certificate The BBB logo is a long-established sign of good business. Proudly promote your honest, reliable business practices by displaying your BBB decal and certificate.

BBB Online If you’ve got an online business or website, you need the BBB online logo. It assures your customers that your site meets strict BBB standards and that yours is a site they can trust! Apply for a free OnLine logo link by contacting connie@cencal.bbb.org.

Personalized Business Reviews You can now customize your BBB Business Review to reflect a description of your business and your products and services, refund policies, your hours of operation and your service area. Add multiple photos and videos for a small fee to create a unique and long-lasting first impression! You can add one photo and a company logo free of charge.

QR Codes You will receive your own customized QR code to place on your door, your advertising and all your marketing materials. When consumers scan it, they will go directly to your BBB Business Review.

Google Partnership The power and trust of the BBB are now combined with Google’s search capabilities. When someone is searching on line for a good business to deal with, the BBB and its accredited businesses will appear at or near the top of the first page in that category. This fee-based service provides a powerful opportunity to market your business.

Weekly Watch The BBB’s official accredited business publication. Published weekly online, Weekly Watch provides you and your employees up-to-the-minute news…intriguing features…new accredited business lists…unanswered complaints…and more, in a lively, easy to read format.

Accredited Business Lists Callers ask us for the names of honest companies every day. While we can’t recommend a company, we can provide lists of our members in your business category. Your very next customer might find you that way.

Accredited Business Guide Published annually, the Accredited Business Guide is a current listing in two different formats of all the accredited businesses of your BBB. It’s distributed free of charge to all our accredited businesses plus public agencies, libraries, professional offices, and many more places. Also available online at bbb.org.

BBB Logo Advertising The BBB serving Central California is the first BBB nationwide to allow its accredited businesses to display the BBB logo in any offline advertising in our nine-county service area: display ads, phone directories, business cards and letterhead are just a few examples of how you can use your BBB logo to its best advantage!

www.bbb.org Our website features our Accredited Business Guide, along with valuable information for your business and links to other sites of interest. Updated constantly. Portions of this site are in Spanish as well.

Request-a-Quote Customers can also access our website to request job estimates for products and services. We then send the actual proposal to all of our members that could fulfill the request for an opportunity to gain a new customer. An exclusive benefit for Accredited Businesses.

Collection Assistance Though we are not a collection agency, we have a trained mediator available to assist you with those difficult accounts. This service is free and you receive 100 percent of all monies received.

Telephone Hotline A special, Accredited Business-only line that ensures you quick priority service. If you must call long-distance, please call collect. If the company is out of the area, we’ll call the BBB in the area for you and get right back to you.

Investigations The BBB investigates and takes action against schemes that unfairly compete with legitimate, tax-paying businesses.

Accurate Information provided about your Business Prospective customers checked BBB reports on companies more than 756,000 times in 2010 to help them make wise buying decisions. A 2007 Princeton study showed that 70% of those surveyed prefer to do business with a BBB Accredited Business. Every caller who checks your reputation is told that you are a BBB Accredited Business. As they often request more than one report, this gives you a substantial edge over your competition. Reports can also be checked online at bbb.org.

Dispute Resolution Mediation/Arbitration is offered when the dispute cannot be resolved. Parties sign binding agreements and place disputed funds in an escrow account. Informal proceedings are held before the mediator/arbitrator. Both parties work to reach an agreement. If the parties cannot agree the mediator/arbitrator will make the final decision. The program can save member companies court costs, time and money in settling consumer complaints. These services are available to all employees of the Accredited Business.

Fax Alerts and E Alerts Accredited Businesses get regular faxes on current scams, solicitations and other valuable information from your BBB. It is the most up to date information possible.

Advertising Guidelines and Advertising Review The guidelines help members avoid violating federal, state, and local laws. The BBB encourages accuracy and truth in advertising which builds consumer confidence. Local advertisements are reviewed by the BBB for truth and accuracy to help your company stay on an even playing field with the competitors.
