The Mediation Services at the Better Business Bureau of Central California and Inland Empire Counties is organizing four days of advanced mediation training. The training will be held February 21st and 22nd and February 28th and March 1st from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis.
If you are an attorney, paralegal or have had some previous legal training, you have a unique opportunity to learn advanced mediation techniques and applications from the largest and longest standing mediation program in Central California. Change the way you communicate and resolve conflict in your personal and professional environment, by learning the process mediators use to help disputing parties examine issues, underlying interests, and options so they can successfully resolve their dispute.
The training will include a combination of lecture and discussion, skill building exercises, and mediation role-plays coached by experienced mediators. During the training attorneys, judges, program providers, and mediators from around the Valley will be presenting on a variety of legal topics. Attorney and non-attorney mediation practitioners will also discuss ethical issues, mediation approaches, and the development of a personal mediation style.
The cost for the training is $250 with an additional $100 for MCLE credit. Students enrolled in any higher learning institution will also receive a $50 discount. This price includes breakfast, lunch, and training materials.
Space for the training is limited, so act fast. Register for the advanced mediation training by calling 559-256-6325 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The training is sponsored by the BBB Mediation Services, San Joaquin College of Law, Fresno County Superior Court, Kern County Superior Court, and Tulare County Superior Court.
