The BBB serving Central California today announced that Liz Garvin, director of Mediation Services, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), Central California Chapter.
The Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) is a professional organization enhancing the practice and public understanding of conflict resolution and is the nation’s largest professional association for mediators, arbitrators, educators and other conflict resolution practitioners.
Garvin joined the BBB in 2007. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento as well as a Masters Degree in Christian Ministry from Mennonite Brethren Bible Seminary. In addition, she has a Basic Institute in Conflict Management and Mediation certificate from the Center for Peacemaking at Fresno Pacific University. Garvin also holds two certificates in Advanced Mediation training; these include Personal Injury Auto and Personal Injury (non-auto) awarded by San Joaquin College of Law, Fresno Pacific University and the Better Business Bureau. She has also been trained at Pepperdine University School of Law in Advanced Family Mediation.
